The HMX Desert linear switch was designed by HIFI Fox to match the famous DMK Silent Desert keycap set. The translucent PA12 housing reminds me of sand and wind blowing.

Their look might resemble desert but their feel completely doesn't; The PA12 housing makes the travel silky smooth; HMX's precise factory lubing becomes the cherry on top. Sound-wise, these belong to the classic HMX clack category. The POM stem and PA12 housing duo make sure they sound bright, clean, and clacky, and the softness of PA12 perfectly balances out the potential stiff bottom-out feeling the POM stem comes with.
